Continuous Self-Calibration of the 670x Devices

Hardware: Signal Sources (AWG/FG/AO)>>Analog Output Devices>>PCI-6703, Signal Sources (AWG/FG/AO)>>Analog Output Devices>>PCI-6704

Problem: I want to do register-level programming for my 6703/6704 device. Do I have to program the continuous calibration procedure or is it done by on-board hardware?

Solution:
1. The 670x devices use hardware circuits for calibration compensation, so you don't have to compensate in software.
2. The hardware circuits automatically handle the compensation without any instructions or programming. The circuit automatically configures and loads from a special SRAM that is set during the calibration procedure which is documented at: www.ni.com/calibration/
3. Periodically, the user will need to calibrate according to these instructions and everything else should be handled automatically.
