Problem: How do I replace the blown fuses on my Bus-Powered M Series Multifunction DAQ (USB-621x)? Solution: There are two types of USB-621x DAQ device:
Older revisions of USB-621x Screw Terminal devices have a 350 mA self-resetting fuse that opens when the current exceeds this specification. Although the fuse is self-resetting, there are a limited amount of self-reset before the fuse permanently fails. Therefore, a user can have an incorrect setup and be constantly exceeding the current limits. Newer revisions have a traditional fuse that opens when the current limit is exceeded. These fuses are not customer-replaceable; if either the self-resetting or normal fuses are permanently open, return the device to NI for repair. USB-621x Mass Termination devices have a 750 mA self-replaceable socketed fuse (Littelfuse part number 0453.750). Steps to replace the fuse are outlined in the NI USB-621x User Manual.
