Why Do I Receive The Error "Unable to load PNG library" When Running My LabVIEW PDA VI?

Problem:
I created a LabVIEW PDA VI that has a PNG or GIF image on the front panel.  When I create the executable for this VI and run it on my Windows Mobile 5.0 PDA, I receive an error message that says
Unable to load PNG library lpngce.dll.

Why is this error occurring and what can I do to correct it?

Solution:
This error occurs if you do not have support for PNG images installed on the PDA.  Without PNG support installed, the executable cannot find the dll needed to display the image on the front panel.  This can occur when using PNG or GIF images on the front panel. 

To install support for displaying PNG images, open the Project Explorer window for your project, right-click on Windows Mobile Pocket PC Device and select Install » Support for PNG Images from the shortcut menu.  Once PNG support is installed, your executable will run on the Windows Mobile device without the error.
