Problem: How Do I Synchronize My Data With My Video In DIAdem Clip?
Solution: The Requirements for Synchronization in DIAdem CLIP are outlined here:
- You must know the frame rate (frames/second) that your video was captured, and then set it in Diadem clip. The value can be set by following these steps:
1. Right-click the embedded video in DIAdem CLIP.
2. Click the Clock Icon, which will launch the Synchronization Parameters window.
3. Enter the frame rate in the frame rate toolbox.
Note: This window also contains options to start the video after starting the data, if the data does not encompass the entire video.
- Your data must be saved in .dat format.
- Your time channel must be in the unit of seconds. For instance, if you are acquiring 100 points per second for 5 seconds then your time channel will start at zero, and increment by .01, for every point to 5 seconds. This time channel is how DIAdem knows to synchronize the video with the data.
- When you select the channels to be graphed, you must select the time channel first, then the data channels.
For more advanced synchronizing options go to the DIAdem CLIP, navigate to Help»Contents, click Index, and enter metronome into the search window.
NOTE: DIAdem CLIP video synchronization functionalities are integrated into DIAdem 10.0 and later versions. For this reason, the DIAdem CLIP software was marked as End-of Life in summer 2008.
