LabVIEW Real-Time Engine Not Present in the Add/Remove Software Window in MAX for PXI Real-Time ControllerPrimary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Real-Time ModulePrimary Software Version: 7.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: Secondary Software:
Problem: I have reformatted my PXI real-time controller and installed LabVIEW 7.1 and the LabVIEW Real-Time Module 7.1. Now, when I right click on the Software folder of my real-time controller in MAX and select Add/Remove Software, I see other drivers such as NI-DAQ but I do not see LabVIEW Real-Time. Solution: In order to have support for the Real-Time target on the host PC, you will need to install the LabVIEW Real-Time Embedded Software CD. This is also known as the LabVIEW Real-Time Target Software. This CD allows RT installation on the target, and is shipped with PXI controllers. The most recent version is 2.0, which has support for LabVIEW 8.0. For LabVIEW 7.1, you will use version 1.3.1, which is available on the same CD. Any attempt to install drivers such as NI-DAQ prior to loading the Real-Time runtime engine will result in the error "Cannot process install because other dependencies are required."
