Why Does My CAN Card Fail Diagnostics with an 0xBFF62023 Error? Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-CANPrimary Software Version: 1.5 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Industrial Communications>>CAN>>PCI-CAN
Problem: I installed a PCI-CAN board in a Windows 2000 machine. When I run Diagnostics I get Error 0xBFF62023. Why does this happen? Solution: Working with one (or more) NI-CAN card(s) on a Windows 2000 System may result in a faulty detection of the card. The card will be properly shown in NI-CAN Diagnostic, but will fail with an error message (0xBFF62023) as a result of the faulty detection of a board. This is fixed in NI-CAN version 1.5.1. Uninstall version 1.5 and install version 1.5.1 (or higher). The new version of the driver is a free download (see the related link below). Note: This article applies only to NI-CAN 1.5 to NI-CAN 1.6. NI-CAN 2.0 (or higher) does not contain the NI-CAN Diagnostic utility anymore. This functionality is now handled by the NI-CAN card's self test in the Measurement & Automation Explorer. Related Links: Latest NI-CAN device driver software Attachments:
