Do I need Measurement Studio to use NI-DAQmx in .NET?Primary Software: Measurement Studio>>.NET SupportPrimary Software Version: 7.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Measurement Studio>>Visual C++ Support, Driver Software>>NI-DAQmx
Problem: Do I need Measurement Studio to be able to use NI-DAQmx with the .NET languages, such as Microsoft Visual C# and Visual Basic .NET? Solution: No, it is not necessary to have Measurement Studio in order to use NI-DAQmx with the .NET Languages. The NI-DAQmx API for .NET is available with the Device Driver CD and the NI-DAQmx driver installer. If it does not install by default, you will need to enable support for your version of .NET in the feature tree for the DAQmx installer. If you do not have Measurement Studio, however, be sure to deselect the Visual Studio Integration item as this feature requires that it be installed to proceed. Refer to the screenshot below for clarification. ![]() For more information on which versions of Visual Studio are compatible with the different DAQmx .NET Frameworks see the DAQmx readme here. Note: In order to install support for Visual C++ you must have Measurement Studio.
