Switching 1394 Camera to Format 7 Mode in VBAI Acquire Step Causes "Not Enough Memory" Error on CVS.

Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated Inspection
Primary Software Version: 2.6.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
Why do I get an error saying "Not enough memory" when I switch my 1394 camera to Format 7 Mode in my VBAI acquire step on my CVS?

Solution:
When switching to video mode, VBAI tries to validate the new video mode right away. If the selected video mode can not be initialized properly, an error message is returned and VBAI reverts back to the previous mode. This situation may occur with a "Not enough memory" error when using an ISG camera with a Compact Vision System (CVS).

ISG line scan cameras can acquire very large images. When switching to Format 7, the ROI is set to 1k x 64k (max ROI) resulting in a "Not enough memory" error on the CVS. VBAI reverts to the previous video mode, preventing the user from adjusting the ROI to a more reasonable size for Format 7 that would work.

One solution to this problem is to copy the file, 08 IVB RTFireWireIMAQ.llb, attached to this KnowledgeBase, to the folder, C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Vision Builder AI 2.6\Plugins.
