AT-DSP2200 Installation in Windows NT

Problem: How do I install my AT-DSP2200 in Windows NT?

Solution:

Board Installation

  1. Launch NI-DAQ Configuration Utility from Start menu » Programs » National Instruments DAQ. You will see the following window:



  2. Select "1:Empty" and click on "Configure/Test Device #1" to bring up the following window:



  3. From the "Devices" menu, select AT-DSP2200. It will prompt you to set the base address for the board.



    Note:
    a. You can check free resources avilable in your computer by launching Windows NT Diagnostics. (Start » Programs » Administrative Tools).

    b. Note down the dip switch settings shown in the above window. This will help you to set the dip switches on the board.


  4. Save your configuration and power off your computer

  5. Set the base address dip switches on the board to match the settings made in NI-DAQ. Make use of the illustration shown in the above picture to set your switches.

  6. Plug the board in the computer

  7. Launch the NI-DAQ Configuration Utility again.

  8. Select AT-DSP2200 from the device list and click "Configure/Test Device"

  9. In the next window, go to "Test" menu and select "Configuration." It should give you a message that the "board is verified"

    Note: If you get an error message "Board is not responding to the selected base address," refer to the KB's linked below.
