Using Measurement Studio's LabWindows/CVI Conversion Utility on Non-English Operating Systems Primary Software: Measurement Studio>>Professional Edition (Base Package)Primary Software Version: 7.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I'm trying to use the LabWindows/CVI Conversion utility that comes with Measurement Studio but I'm getting an error that says "Measurement Studio cannot find the LabWindows/CVI installation directory". What is causing this error and can I still use the utility? Solution: This error is caused anytime your regional settings specify that the digit grouping symbol is a period (.) instead of a comma (,). This setting causes CVI to not be detected by Visual Studio and Measurement Studio. In order to use the utility, you can change your regional settings to English (United States) prior to making the conversion. This can be done by going Start >> Control Panel >> Regional and Language Options and changing Standards and Formats to English (United States). You can and should change this back to your preferred regional settings after you have finished with the utility. Related Links: Measurement Studio Support Page Attachments:
