Can a cFP-CTR-502 Module Measure a 50KHz Signal? Hardware: Compact FieldPoint>>Discrete I/O Modules>>cFP-CTR-502
Problem: I would like to sample a 50KHz signal with my cFP-CTR-502 module, but the internal frequency references are 1KHz and 32KHz. Solution: The cFP-CTR-502 module can measure pulses up to 50KHz. The only requirement for doing this is that the minimum pulse width is 10 microseconds. The 1KHz and 32KHz internal time bases are only used for generating pulses internally to be counted. The KnowledgeBase referenced in the Related Links section, ‘How Do I Connect Two Sinking I/O or Two Sourcing I/O Together?’, can be referenced to see how to connect a sourcing output to a sourcing input so that you can use the cFP-CTR-502 for measuring a 50KHz signal.
