Problem: My system hangs when entering hibernate or sleep mode. Sometimes, it hangs when saving the settings during shutdown. Why is this happening? Solution: This problem is caused by the NI Keyboard Filter component of LabVIEW DSC 7.1 and Lookout 6.0. To avoid this problem do not install the keyboard filter driver when installing DSC 7.1 and/or Lookout 6.0, or go into Add/Remove Programs and modify the existing installation to remove this component, if DSC or Lookout are already installed. In some cases it may be necessary to remove the installation and reinstall the software, making sure to not install the keyboard filter driver. To install DSC without the NI Keyboard Filter component, select custom installation and then select "do not install this feature" under the NI Keyboard driver filter.
To install Lookout without the NI Keyboard Filter component, select custom installation and then expand the Lookout folder. Next, select "do not install this feature" under the NI Keyboard driver filter.
