Measuring Temperature and Voltage Simultaneously on the NI 435x

Problem:
Can I configure the NI 435x to acquire data from different measurement types at the same time, or do they acquire only one type of measurement with each configuration?

Solution:
All of the NI 435x devices can be configured on a channel-by-channel basis. LabVIEW uses the NI435X Configure VI, and CVI uses the NI435X Set Channel Mode function to configure each channel to the desired measurement type. The available channel configurations include the following choices:
  • Voltage
  • Thermocouple B
  • Thermocouple E
  • Thermocouple J
  • Thermocouple K
  • Thermocouple N
  • Thermocouple R
  • Thermocouple S
  • Thermocouple T
  • RTD ITS-90
  • RTD American
  • RTD DIN 43760
  • Resistance
  • Thermocouple Custom
