Which Controllers Can Be Used With The NI 9144 EtherCAT Expansion Chassis?Hardware: CompactRIO>>Controllers>>cRIO-9074
Problem: I would like to use the NI 9144 expansion chassis, but am unsure of what controllers I can use. Where can I find a list of supported controllers? Solution: In order to use the NI 9144 EtherCAT expansion Chassis, you must have a National Instruments Real-Time CompactRIO or embedded Real-Time PXI system with two Ethernet ports. These devices must be running RT BIOS, the RT Desktop OS is not supported. The first ethernet port is used for connection to the network while the second connection is used to connect the 9144 chassis to the controller. Available controllers include the CompactRIO-9074, CompactRIO-9022, and any embedded real-time PXI controller with a PXI-8231/8232 Ethernet interface card (the NI 8234 Ethernet card is not supported). For a full list of available controllers, please see the Deterministic Ethernet Product Selection Guide.
