CVI Internet Toolkit Executable Will Not Run Unless I Have CVI Installed Primary Software: LabWindows/CVI Add-ons>>Enterprise Connectivity ToolsetPrimary Software Version: 1.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I created a distribution kit for a CVI project that uses the CVI Internet Toolkit and then installed the kit on a target machine that does not have CVI installed. I can run other CVI executables, but any executables that involve the CVI Internet Toolkit do not function properly. Solution: The problem is that the CVI Internet Toolkit functions are in the cviinet.dll, which does not automatically get included in the distribution kit. You must add cviinet.dll to the File Group section of the Create Distribution Kit window. You must also include cviinet.lib in your project before creating a released version of the executable. Including cviinet.lib in the project ensures that all the CVI Internet Toolkit functions get resolved when they are called.Related Links: Attachments:
