Issue Details

For one of the below listed reasons, I would like to request/order physical media, either a DVD or USB, for my NI software installation:

  • I have a license for NI software, such as NI Developer Suite or NI Software Platform Bundle. Normally, new installation media in the form of DVDs or USB drives are sent to me twice a year with the updated installers for all of my software. However, I have not received these recently.
  • I have not received our spring/fall update USB keys.
  • I would like to request physical media due to internet restrictions that prevent me from downloading software from NI's website.
  • I have lost the media for my software and I would like to be sent a new copy.
  • I received a hardware kit, but there is not an installation disk for my NI hardware.
  • I need access to a Microsoft Installer (.msi) file for NI Software released in 2019 or later, which is only accessible via physical media for software released in 2019 or later.
How do I order the physical media?

Solution

As of January, 2017, NI has moved to a digital delivery mechanism for installation media. All customers with a current subscription license or a valid service agreement are encouraged to download the software that they need from www.ni.com/downloads .

As of May 2021, NI will be moving to a digital delivery first experience for our driver software. This means that we will no longer ship physical media with our hardware kits. All customers are encouraged to download the drivers they need from the NI Driver Download Page .

As of Nov 2021, NI will no longer provide DVD installers. Only USB installers are available, and you can choose to purchase this option when you purchase your software.

Additional Information

  • You can also download the offline installer  from our downloads page.
  • If you are using an Academic Volume License and need physical media to install software, contact your site administrator. This may be applicable if you are using Mac OS or Linux .
