Using the SCC-FT01 Feed-Through/Breadboard Module for Custom Digital I/O Signal Conditioning in NI-DAQmxHardware: SCC>>Carriers>>SC-2345, SCC>>Modules>>SCC-FT01
Problem: I need to do custom signal conditioning on a digital signal in my SCC system. When I add the SCC-FT01 to my SC-2345 in the SCC Connector Block Configuration in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), I get an error like: How do I use the SCC-FT01 module for custom digital signal conditioning in NI-DAQmx? Solution: The SCC-FT01 can be used for custom digital signal conditioning when placed in sockets J9 through J16. These sockets are also used for second stage analog input conditioning. By default, MAX assumes the module is going to be used for analog input signal conditioning which requires both first and second stage conditioning. To use the SCC-FT01 for custom digital signal conditioning, you do not need to configure anything in software, you only need to configure the hardware. Reference the attached file: How to customize the SCC-FT01 or the SCC-FT01 Feedthrough Module User Guide for the necessary hardware configuration.
