Why Are All My Analog Input Signals Reading Almost Zero Volts, But Not Floating?

Hardware: Signal Conditioning Other>>5B Series

Problem: I have connected all of my analog inputs to my analog input 5B modules. I have cabled everything to my analog input board. When I take readings, they are not floating, but they are all stuck at approximately zero, though they may change slightly as the input voltage changes.

What is wrong?

Solution: Assuming all other connections are made correctly, then the 5B backplane just needs a power supply. Please refer to the 5B documentation about power options for your 5B backplane.

For instance, on the 5B08 backplane, there is a header for +5V and COM. Be careful of power requirements if you choose to use the 5V power supply from your MIO board (which is virtually the same as the 5V PCI supply).
