Finding nirviReadWriteControl.xnode When Creating a Simulation Loop Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Simulation ModulePrimary Software Version: 8.2 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Base Package, LabVIEW Development Systems>>Full Development System, LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Problem: I am using the LabVIEW Simulation Module 8.2. When I first place a Simulation loop on the block diagram, a dialog appears that is searching for a file called nirviReadWriteControl.xnode. After several moments the search stops and the Simulation loop is created. How can I find this file so that LabVIEW does not take so long to create a Simulation loop? Solution: This is a known issue with the Simulation Module 8.2. When a Simulation loop is created, LabVIEW searches for Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\vi.lib\rvi\interface\nirviReadWriteControl\nirviReadWriteControl.xnode. This file is installed with other National Instruments software, but it is neither used by nor installed with the Simulation Module. To fix this problem, run the attached VI, which will create an empty file in the above folder. The Simulation loop with then load without searching for the file. Related Links: Attachments:
