Why am I Receiving Windows Installer Error 1321 When Trying to Repair National Instruments Software?

Primary Software: NI Installers>>Installer Framework
Primary Software Version: 2.6
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I am receiving the following error when trying to repair National Instruments software on my Windows machine:

Windows Installer Error 1321 - The Installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file: filename.

Solution:
Windows error 1321 is usually caused by a corrupt registry entry. You should perform a full uninstall and reinstall of the National Instruments software to completely remove and replace the corrupted registry.

If this does not repair the issue you will need to take action to grant the SYSTEM access to the file, or registry keys necessary to repair the software. Please reference the Microsoft Developer Help and Support Page: Various Error Messages When MSI File Creates and Modifies Files and Registry Keys to grant these permissions.
