What is the Minimum and Maximum Analog Output Amplitude of the SPEEDY-33?

Problem:
I want to generate an analog signal using the DSP on my SPEEDY-33 evaluation board. What is the maximum amplitude range for the analog output of the SPEEDY-33?

Solution:
The SPEEDY-33 can generate analog output amplitudes from –32,768 to 32,767 because the SPEEDY-33 has a 16-bit analog output capability. This range corresponds to approximately ±1.5 volts. If you try to generate any amplitude less than –32,768 or greater than 32, 767, signal clipping occurs.
