Digital Line on PXI-7833 has Low Impedance When Used as an Input Hardware: Reconfigurable I/O (RIO)>>R Series
Problem: I am using a digital line on a PXI-7833 card for both output and input. According to the documentation, the digital line should have high impedance when used as an input. Why do I see low impedance on mine? Solution: Digital line on a R series device has low impedance when configured as an output. If you are using a digital line for both output and input, you need to disable the Digital Enable Switch by wiring in a False constant. This will return the line to high impedance. NOTE: Make sure you disable the Digital Enable Switch before the line is used as an input. When you write to a digital line, the Digital Enable Switch automatically returns to True .
