How Can I Configure the GPIB Address for my NI Instrument Simulator? Hardware: GPIB>>Support Products>>NI Instrument Simulator
Problem: How Can I Configure the GPIB Address for my NI Instrument Simulator? Solution: The default GPIB address when the Instrument Simulator is configured according to the below-linked KB is PAD=2. If a different primary address is needed, this can be easily configured using the GPIB Address DIP switches on the device. The left-most switch represents the LSB of the address in binary format. Any address can be entered as a 5-bit binary value with the right-most switch representing the MSB. There are 5 switches, so the highest possible address value is 31. Note that the "ON" position corresponds to a binary "1" value for the address bit and that the "ON" position is actually DOWN for this switch bank.
