What Version of IVI Shared Components Do I Have?

Problem: How do I find what version of IVI Shared Components I have?
Solution: The IVI Shared Components are installed as part of the IVI Compliance Package. Measurement and Automation Explorer only lists what version of the IVI Compliance Package is installed. However, there are two ways you can find which version of the IVI Shared Components you have installed :
- The IVI Shared Components version can be found in the IVI Compliance Package Readme. This document can generally be found by navigating to Start->Programs->National Instruments->IVI Compliance Package Readme . The IVI Shared Components version can be found within this document, as shown in the screenshot below. Note that the version included in the readme file only describes what version is installed with the IVI Compliance Package. If you have installed a different version of the IVI Shared Components, use the next method.
- You can also find the version in the properties of the IviSharedComponentVersion.dll file. This file is generally located at C:\Program Files\IVI Foundation\IVI\Bin\IviSharedComponentVersion.dll . If it is not here, it will be wherever you chose for your IVI Root directory. Right-click on this file, and select Properties. Select the Version tab, and the version number will be listed in that window, as shown below. This is the most accurate way to determine which version of the IVI Shared Components you have installed.
