Why Do I Get a Non-System Disk Error on a PXI-8186 Controller?Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8186 RT
Problem: The PXI-8186 does not have a floppy drive, why do I get a non-system disk error on bootup? Solution: The PXI-8186 is most likely a LabVIEW RT only controller and is currently configured for Windows. Windows is not installed on a LabVIEW RT only controller and therefor no "system" is detected. Either set the LabVIEW RT switch to on so that the controller will boot into LabVIEW RT or go into the BIOS and set the Boot Configuration to always boot into LabVIEW RT.
