Error -1013 on a Real-Time Target

Problem:
Why Do I Receive Error -1013 When I Attempt to Use a Front Panel Property Node on a Real-Time Target?
 


Solution:
Access to front panel properties and methods are not supported on Real-Time operating systems such as ETS and VxWorks.  The reason is that there is no actual front panel residing on the target.  When a VI is deployed to a target, it is compiled into something other than a VI.  This object is executed, and information is sent to a host computer.  The host computer retains a copy of the VI so that it can construct a front panel with updated values.
