When I right-click on a wire, "Lock/Unlock name position" appears instead of properties of wire after update. Why is this? (I'm using Multisim 8 Academic/Educational.)

Problem: Once an automatic update of Multisim 8 (educational version) is completed a right click to a wire/bus/component gives a grayed out "Lock/Unlock name position" option instead of the expected properties options.

Solution: This problem occurs when the user settings become corrupt. To fix it, delete the corrupted settings, and Multisim will generate a new set on start-up.

1. Navigate to the Multisim directory, typically: "C:\Program Files\Electronics Workbench\EWB8", and delete the folder "Multisim Users" that was created during the update.
2. Restart Multisim and you should now see the appropriate properties options on a right-click.
