Why Do I Have Evaluation Versions of Some Controls after Installing the Motion Control Module for Visual Basic?

Primary Software: Measurement Studio Add-ons>>Motion Control Module
Primary Software Version: 6.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software:

Problem: I have an older version of Component Works (Measurement Studio) and everything worked. Once I installed the Motion Control Module, some of my control have become evaluation versions. I have licenses for both of these products, so why do I now have an evaluation version?

Solution: If you have a version of ComponentWorks installed on your computer before installing the Motion Control Module, the ComponentWorks User Interface, 3D Graph, and Analysis controls are replaced by 6.0 evaluation versions of the Measurement Studio User Interface, 3D Graph, and Analysis controls. (The Measurement Studio for Visual Basic controls were formerly known as ComponentWorks.) These evaluation version are valid for 30 days and then you are prompted to revert back to the previous controls or upgrade the controls. If you do not want to wait 30 days for the evaluation version to expire, you can use one of the following solutions:

1) Run the Measurement Studio License Fixer attached to KnowledgeBase 2BTGHR56 (linked below) to fix the problem.

OR

2) Upgrade to the latest version of Measurement Studio, which includes updated versions of the former ComponentWorks controls.
