Problem: For which DASYLab applications do I use the Never and Direct trigger conditions?
Solution: These are special conditions, allowing you to configure exact trigger conditions for special circumstances.
- Never as the Start condition: the trigger is switched off and will never activate.
- Never as the Stop condition: the trigger will set the output to 5 (TTL High) when the Start condition is fulfilled and will only switch back to 0 (TTL Low) when you stop the measurement (acting as a Start Trigger).
- Direct as the Start condition: the output of the Trigger module will be switched to 5 (TTL High) at the start of the experiment and will stop when the Stop condition is fulfilled (acting as a Stop Trigger).
- Direct as the Stop condition: the trigger output switches to 5 (TTL High) when the Start condition is fulfilled and directly back to 0 (TTL Low), so that the output sends a pulse. Use this in combination with pre and post trigger settings to analyze oscillations, where it is not possible to define a unified stop condition.
