Problem: My Dalsa GigE Camera says it is GigE Vision-compliant but I don't see it in Measurment & Automation Explorer (MAX), even though I have the latest NI-IMAQdx driver installed. Solution: It has come to light that some Dalsa cameras that are advertised (on the packaging) as being GigE Vision-compliant actually aren't. Certain versions of the Spyder3 camera contain firmware that doesn't enable the camera to be GigE Vision-compliant. Version 12E and later can become compliant with a firmware upgrade. Contact Dalsa for details. The compliance is minimal meaning that only the seven mandatory features are included (image width, image height, color format, image buffer size, grab/snap, start of capture, end of capture). Everything else has to be controlled via Dalsa's Pleora/QuickCam software. Related Links: External Link: Dalsa KnowledgeBase 461BPOS4: GigE Vision Compliancy Attachments:
