PCI 6703/6704 Devices Appear Under Traditional DAQ Devices But Not Under NI-DAQmx Devices in MAX Primary Software: Utility Software>>Measurement & Automation ExplorerPrimary Software Version: 3.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Signal Sources (AWG/FG/AO)>>Analog Output Devices>>PCI-6704
Problem: I have installed both the Traditional and DAQmx drivers and I can see my PCI 6703/6704 in MAX under Traditional NI DAQ Devices, but I do not see it under DAQmx Devices. Why is this? Solution: The PCI 6703/6704 devices are only supported under Traditional NI-DAQ and NI-DAQmx 7.4 and above. In order to check what version of the DAQmx driver you have installed, open Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and double-click on Software. Select NI-DAQmx and the attributes page should display the driver version. If the driver version is lower than NI-DAQmx 7.4, then you will not be able to see your PCI 6703/6704 under DAQmx devices in MAX. You will have to uninstall the current version of the DAQmx driver and re-install version 7.4 or above. Then, your device should appear in Measurement and Automation Explorer.
