Thank you for buying a VXI controller and the NI-VXI software from
National Instruments. These release notes contain information
regarding how to install the NI-VXI software for Windows.
National Instruments is now using the latest installer endorsed by
Microsoft Corporation, InstallShield from Stirling Technology, for
installing the NI-VXI software. The documentation that came with
your kit does not reflect this change, but is still accurate for other
information, such as installing the hardware and configuring and using
the hardware and software.
The new installer from Microsoft is very easy to use. Run the Setup
program, setup.exe, which interactively guides you with a series of
prompts that will help you complete your installation.
