Welcome to the family of National Instruments GPIB products and
to the Model GPIB-610.
The Model GPIB-610 is essentially two products in one in that it
has the capability of operating in two different modes. In one
mode, it allows the GPIB to be controlled from a computer or
other intelligent device that has serial I/O but not GPIB capability.
In the other mode, it allows a non-GPIB device to be
controlled from a GPIB controller.
As you progress through the manual, you will learn about the two
modes of operation, how to determine the mode required by your
equipment, and which sections of the manual apply to that mode.
