The LabVIEW PDA Module extends the LabVIEW graphical development environment to PDA devices so you can create PDA applications that run on Palm OS and Pocket PC devices, emulators, and simulators. Use the PDA Module to build applications that run in the smaller memory space common to PDA devices. You can create portable solutions for a wide spectrum of applications, such as field test systems, remote control and monitoring systems, and portable data acquisition systems. This manual contains system requirements; installation instructions; new features for 8.0; and a tutorial that guides you through creating a LabVIEW project, adding a target and a PDA VI to the project, building, downloading, running, and debugging a PDA application. You create PDA VIs in much the same way you create VIs for LabVIEW for Windows, but the PDA Module supports some controls and indicators and VIs and functions differently. Refer to the Creating PDA VIs book in the LabVIEW Help for detailed information about the differences.
