	The CE marking and Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is NI's statement assuring compliance to the European Union Directives and standards for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and product safety.
	FCC - North American EMC Verification
	The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) enacted electromagnetic-interference (EMI) regulations for various electronic equipment. NI products comply with U.S. and Canadian EMI Class A requirements. (FCC Mark not applicable for Class A products)
	C-Tick - Australian EMC Verification
	The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) regulations require EMC verification for electronic products. NI products bear the C-Tick Mark, which indicates compliance with Australian EMC standards.
	UL - North American Product Safety Certification	View the UL Cert
	The UL Mark on a product means that it has been safety tested and meets UL requirements. The cULus Listed Mark indicates compliance with Canadian and U.S. safety standards, and gives consumers the safety assurance they expect.
	Demko or VDE - European Union Product Safety Certification	View (1.25 MB PDF)
	Notified Bodies are accredited in Europe for product safety testing and certification according to European Norms (EN) with the goal to protect the health of the consumer. Notified Body Marks such as, VDE, TUV and Demko, provide independent EU support for the suppliers’ CE marking
	UL - North American Hazardous Locations	View the UL Cert
	UL tests and certifies products for use in hazardous locations where explosive atmospheres may be present. Class I certification covers Division and Zone area classification systems for U.S. and Canada. NI FieldPoint products (FP/cFP) are cULus Listed for use in hazardous locations: Class I, Division 2 (Zone 2).

	Ex is a Certification from a European Notified Body verifying compliance with the essential requirements of EU Directive 94/9/EC. NI FieldPoint products (FP/cFP) are Ex Certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres: EEx nC IIC T4.
	LR - Marine Approval	View (1.25 MB PDF)
	Lloyd’s Register (LR) Type Approval certifies conformity to the strict international safety, EMC, and environmental rules for products used in marine environments such as, aboard ships and off-shore oil/gas platforms. LR Type Approval ensures compliance with national and international standards for marine applications.
	RoHS - Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances	View (1.25 MB PDF)
	The National Instruments RoHS marking symbolizes a product which is RoHS-compliant. NI is releasing certain RoHS-compliant products as part of the NI Hazardous Substances Reduction initiative.
